An unsere Freunde und Mitsegler,
Liebe Freunde,
Hello Heidi & Erich,
Good you are keeping in touch.
Thank you for your mail outlining your future plans. The NWP is now cooling off for the winter and already showing
the new challenges for 2018 candidates to concur its nature. It will be just as difficult or more as it looks so far in many respects.
Ice wise it looks so far getting a lot of old ice from far North making it more difficult for navigation during next season of 2018.
Also making of now „famed“ Yvan Bourgnon a disgrace or as you called it „verrückten“ is getting its implications.
Among other things Canadian Government is now calling for compulsory Registration all Sail Boats attempting NWP including
survey, inspections and Insurance Requirements. Yvan also failed its border clearance to Canada. All this is very serious affecting
all sailors attempting the last place on earth to sail freely. Antarctic & Patagonia is now practically out of bounds.
I am not expecting your comment very fast from you as usually is slow, may be few months.
Enjoy Greenland next year to its full. it is beautiful.
Cheers,
Victor Wejer
